Shipping Policy



Standard Items

Standard Items are those categorized as non-freight by the manufactures we sell, such as smallwares and countertop appliances, and those which are shippable via UPS Standard Ground Services.

  • Shipping Method

  • Gator Chef ships most Standard Items up to 150 lbs either as a single item or combined items of a single order via UPS Standard Ground.

  • Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges for Standard Items are calculated based on the item’s dimensions, weight, and ship-to zip code via UPS Standard Ground discounted rates, or by a fixed shipping amount depending on the item.

  • Shipping Time

  • Standard Items ship from both our warehouse and directly from the manufacturers we sell. Orders that are in-stock either in our warehouse or the manufacturer’s are processed and shipped within 48 hours, Monday through Friday (except holidays), and will arrive based on UPS’s standard number of transit days for UPS Ground zones, typically within 3-6 business days.

  • Shipment Regions

  • GatorChef.com sells and ships items to the 48 contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and all offshore US territories - US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, etc.).

Gator Chef strives to offer the lowest possible shipping prices for all our standard items.

Freight Items

Freight Items are those categorized as shippable by freight carry only (common carrier) as deemed by the manufacturers we sell, such as large commercial appliances like refrigerators and ranges. Or when a single order of items exceeds the 150 lb weight limit for UPS Standard Ground shipments.

Items that ship as a Freight Item ship separate from other items of the same order. Freight Items are clearly marked on product pages, in the shopping cart, and during checkout.

  • Shipping Methods

  • Gator Chef ships Freight Items as LTL (Less Than a Load) Ground and with Curbside Delivery.

  • Curbside Delivery - means that the delivery driver will drive the truck to the property closest to the entrance. If the delivery location does not have a “semi-truck high” receiving dock, or have a forklift, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to order Lift Gate Services at the time of purchase. Lift Gate service fees are not included shipping fees and are available for ordering on the product pages.

  • Lift Gate Service - means the delivery truck will be equipped with a lift gate. Items will be lowered from the truck to the ground where the buyer then assumes responsibility for all items. Lift Gate service fees are not included in the shipping fees and are available for ordering on the product pages.

  • Inside Delivery – This service entails removal of items from the delivery truck and placement of the item near its permanent location. Please contact a Customer Service Representative at (888) 944-2867 for Inside Delivery fees. Inside Delivery service requires that the buyer’s location have a “semi-truck high” receiving dock or Lift Gate Service has been ordered.

  • Time Stipulated Appointment - For an additional fee, our freight carriers will deliver at a specific time. Please contact a Customer Service Representative at (888) 944-2867 for Time Stipulated Appointment fees.

  • Shipping Charges

  • Shipping charges for Freight Items are calculated based on the item’s weight, freight class and ship-to zip code.

  • Shipment Regions

  • GatorChef.com sells and ships items to the 48 contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and all offshore US territories - US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, etc.).

Free Shipping

Gator chef offers free shipping on select items as indicated on these products. Free shipping promotions apply only to the 48 contiguous United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and all offshore US territories - US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, etc.). Free Shipping items are delivered with Curbside Delivery only. Additional delivery service such as Lift Gate service can be added to Free Shipping items for an additional fee.

Residential Shipping

Deliveries made to residential areas will incur an additional shipping fee. It is the responsibility of the buyer to identify the shipping address as a residential location. Should the shipping information provided by the buyer be incorrect, Gator Chef reserves the right to charge the buyer the additional delivery charge upon receipt of the freight charge.

Shipping Damage

In the event your shipment is damaged in transit, we advise you to refuse delivery only after you have contacted a Customer Service Representative at (888) 944-2867 to receive a Return of Goods Authorization (RMA) form.

  • It is imperative that the buyer or buyer’s agent fully inspect items at the time of delivery and that any problems be noted on the delivery receipt.
  • As the buyer or buyer’s agent you may spend as much time as necessary to uncrate or remove packaging to ensure the product is in an acceptable condition.
  • If there is a possibility of minor repairs or “cosmetic” damages, Customer Service can assist with ordering replacement parts or panels and initiating your freight claim.
  • It is important that you save all packaging materials and/or take photos of the damages in case the freight carrier requests to inspect the damaged merchandise after delivery.

Redelivery or Reconsignment

If the freight carrier attempts delivery and is unable to deliver for reasons that are within the buyer’s or buyer agent’s control, redelivery fees may apply. If the carrier attempts delivery with no acknowledgement from the buyer or buyer’s agent, the goods may be reconsigned to a new address or returned to the manufacturer. A second return shipping fee will be added to the buyer’s bill. Please contact Customer Service at 888-944-2867 in the event of redelivery.

Cancelled/ Returned Orders

If the buyer decides to cancel any part of their order after it has been shipped, please note that the buyer is still responsible for the full amount of roundtrip shipping and handling charges, plus any applicable restocking and repair fees. The only exception is for damaged equipment refused at the time of delivery.

To return any part of your order please read Gator Chef’s return policy to confirm that the order can be returned. To return products please request a Return of Goods Authorization (RGA) form from a Customer Service Representative at (888) 944-2867 so as to confirm an accurate return address. Any customer returning goods without an RGA will be responsible for shipping costs incurred due to inaccurate return address. This is in addition to any restocking fees attached to the product return.
